"Narrative Narrative" - Solo Adventure 15XP, 10g
Thoth was impressed with your research, but now he has a seemingly impossible task--sell it to the masses. You take the victorious walk back to the Rhetorical Inn and sit at the bar. The barkeep nods in an accepting manner. He tosses you a tall mug filled with your favorite beverage. You take a leisurely walk about the room, thinned out compared to before, but still relatively full. You glance over the shoulders of other adventurers to see what tomes they have in their hands, but you can't get much of a look. You sit at the table you have come so accustomed to and start to think about how you can sell your idea to the masses...
This assignment has two parts:
1. Watch, read, and/or listen to one of the following narrative pieces. You may engage with more than one of the four listed, but pay special attention to one of them. Look for story components and rhetoric being used.
-Eminem (Explicit Language) : Watch "Stan" then "Bad Guy"
-No-A (short film) - Try not to read description of video
-Wire Cutters (short film) - Try not to read description of video
-David Mura (Explicit Language) The Affair (scanned document underneath)

To get a better understanding of the text adventure platforms, this assignment will require you to research two different text adventure platforms. The two platforms are as follows:
- Inform7
- Twine
- Is the model accessible through the web or does it have to be downloaded?
- How do you compose within the software? What language is used? What does the process look like?
- Explain the process of creating an interactive story. How do you progress to the next "slide?"
- List two different resources/how-to-guides to help you compose. What are the benefits/drawbacks to these?
- What is your overall reaction to this program? Excited, bored, terrified? Why?
Make sure each of the platforms are labeled. You may want to consult with your guild if you are having trouble or are confused. Make sure the document is uploaded and submitted to the "Research Adventure" folder with the named document "Last name - Avatar - Research Adventure"

"HTeaseML" - Solo Adventure 20XP, 15g
You sit down with your guild and have an intelligent conversation about the platforms that are offered to you. The Game Master says that there are other ways to approach this raid, but it would be smart to hit the training ground to practice and learn new skills. You labor over to the practice arena and look at the different options before. One of the tomes resting on a table with weapons and armor is labeled "HTML." You pick it up...
In order to fully understand coding and how it functions in the world of technology, it is important for all players to encounter coding. CadeAcademy is a site that offers free lessons on computer programming languages. I strongly encourage you to create a free account in order to save progress. For this adventure, you will be playing through the first lesson (which has 14 mini lessons) and take a snapshot of each of the badges you earn. When I went through all the mini lessons, it took me about 35 minutes. I would expect it to take you about 45 minutes if you are not a "tech savvy" person.
Take snapshots all all the badges that you earn. You may want to consult with your guild if you are having trouble or are confused. Paste all snapshots into a GoogleDoc. Make sure the document is uploaded and submitted to the "HTeaseML" folder with the named document "Last name - Avatar - HTeaseML"
