Chapter Three - "Master of Scribes"
Raid Boss: Mass o' Munchkins (Type: Hoard)
Chapter Overview
After impressing Thoth, you walk away with the Helm of Knowledge, only to find out something highly disappointing--it is a replica! Damn the gods!
Thoth may have deceived us, but he did say something wise, "Now you must bring your idea to the people. If they experience the issue, they will be forced to think." In order to make real change, you need to join a guild and create something interactive, engaging, and thought provoking. The easiest way to engage someone is through narrative. |
Raid Overview
For this chapter, you will be joining up with other players to create a text adventure or interactive media that captivates the masses. Your audience should be broad and wide-reaching. Each player will have a part in the creation of the interactive narrative in agreed upon roles. Each guild (player parties) will appoint a guild leader (bard or ranger) who will be responsible for keeping the guild on task, ensure they meet deadlines, and the overall appearance of the project. There will also be a code specialist (mage) that will be responsible for the technical aspects and operation of the text adventure. Finally, the lead writer (warrior) and brainstormer (bard or ranger) will be responsible for the narrative and writing of the piece.
The text adventure will have a dynamic storyline with at least two outcomes achieved through player choice. Each story will incorporate researched data, images, and intriguing arguments in creative ways. The guild will be assessed on teamwork, creativity, rhetorical justification, completeness, and presentation.

Raid Requirements
This project will take similar shape regardless of the program you are using, however, the requirements will be slightly different. The basic requirements are listed above (at least two outcomes, researched data, and images). Below are the requirements for each program. Microsoft Word can be used to create hyperlinked media through the bookmark and hyperlink function under the "Insert" > "Links" toolbar. Sections must first be saved through "bookmarks" before they are "hyperlinked."
